Hammocks are fabric sling suspended between two points and is generally used for swinging, sleeping, resting and relaxing. Week long camping questions?
I am planning a week long trip and need some pointers. I'm a somewhat expierienced camper, but I have never gone this long so I need to change some stuff. I am more of and ultralight camper, I.e. Using a hammock, lightweight gear, etc, and I would just like a basic supply list for a seven day trip, as well as any pointers or advice, cheers!
Don't know the destination, but if gaining sustenance from your whereabouts is possible that will save some weight you have to carry in the food category and give some fun things to do along the way so bring your ultralight fishing tackle.
One thing about using a hammock is that if your above tree line you won't have anything to hang it on so still bring a good closed cell foam sleep mat.
Go through your gear and see what you can reduce weight with say for example using an AAA size flashlight instead of D size, going even more light by getting a Titanium spork. Each and every item a backpacker brings somebody has a lighter weight idea, so here is a link with more info
